High adventure has been a part of the program of Troop 520 since 1987. Every two years we have been able to offer a special trip for older scouts, which serves to challenge and prove the scouting skills learned through regular campouts and activities. Most of these trips have been to Philmont Scout Ranch, but we have also been able to test our skills in the Boundary Waters area of northern Minnesota. And in 2003, Troop 520 took 64 members north to Alaska. And now Troop 520 has completed yet another trip to Philmont, in 2005!
